Bienco sat in the shade, away from the hot sun that beat down upon the ground. His dark fur absorbed the heat so quickly it was uncomfortable to stay out in direct sunlight for too long. His silvery pelt also meant that the shadows nearly obscured him, so all that could be seen were two thoughtful eyes and the white tip of his tail.
He lowered his head to give a paw a quick lick, then raised it again to look out over the territory. Sartika had been quiet lately, which was good in some respects - the tribe had time to settle down and build up its numbers. But as Guardian, it was his duty to always be on alert. Bienco flicked his ears, the air making a soft whistling sound as it slipped through the bullet-hole in his right ear. There was nothing that needed his attention yet, so he sat and waited, the sentinel of Sartika.

Kilou silently padded up to the brute, wanting to speak to the Cheiftain. Glancing at him she could tell that he was not, but he was probably high-ranking. She stiffened as her auds picked up a high whistling, but she settled as she located it origin. Her golden bodice glistened in the bright sunlight as she peered into the darkness. She let out a soft bark, showing that she was friend and where she was, though he probably already knew.

His ears flattened against his skull, and his lips curled back ever so slightly. There was a another fox in the territory, and he didn't recognise their scent. However, before Bienco could prepare himself to attack, the stranger sounded out with a bark. Immediately he relaxed - not completely, but he was no longer tensed to spring. Someone with intent to harm would not have let him know of their presence. He flicked his eyes over to see a golden-furred vixen; certainly not someone from his clan. Bienco slid nimbly out of the shadows, tail held out in a way to assert his dominance, but in an unthreatening manner. He dipped his head in greeting. "What business do you have here?"

Kilou glanced over the dog-fox, bowing her head in return. When his posture turned dominant she instinctively began to growl, the sun glistening off her white ivories. As she remembered that she was in his territory her growl faded away. Turning her electric blue eyes on him she responded. "I wish to speak to your Chieftain. " She smiled, hoping that he would realized that she was no threat to him or his territory.

The growl made him stiffen, but he made no move to attack - and neither did she. He relaxed once more, but kept a wary eye on the vixen. "She is not available at the moment," Bienco replied at last. "I am the Guardian; is that sufficient?" He could only wonder what this stranger wanted, seeing as he didn't even know which clan she came from.
