Lake Clearing was bountiful with new life, an unmistakable trademark of spring. Indeed, the season was upon them, it was clear to all on-lookers. The celestial sphere held but a few imperfections, creating a nice back-drop for apollo's eye, which shone steadily down on the Xtikun territory. The temperature was pleasent, a little too pleasent for the clan healer's taste, so she was forced to wander out of hiding, leaving her wishing that the dry lakebed still was the host to water. Sorrel, as the young vixen was called, had a giddy feeling within her, as most experienced during springtime, but this stirring was dimished slightly by the heat. With an inaudable sigh, she reclined gracefully onto her haunches, her deep hazel gaze wandering idly across the horizon, which was blocked somewhat by the camp's protective border. Occasionally, Sorrel found herself wondering what lay beyond, how the other clans lived, but these thoughts were quickly dismissed. She had all that she needed right here.

Kilou trotted into Xtikun Clan territory, sniffing cautiously. The wind brought her the scent of a vixen and she changed direction. Padding into the clearing she looked at the vix. Usually at a glance she could tell the position a fox ranks. This one was no different. Kilou could see that she wasn't a Chieftain, but her position was still a proud one. Sitting within view she barked, calling for the leader but at the same time trying to catch the vix's attention. She held her golden bodice delicately as she waited, ready for anything.

Jaik walked out from his den, his ears flicked as he smelled the allience clan of Rajing. His tail wagged back and forth, maybe their Chieftain wanted a meeting with him so they could discuss their plans. The black fox cautiously snuck up from behind then let out a 'friend or foe' bark, for he didn't want to take any chances if alliences had shifted, due to Rajing's new leader.

Sorrel, with nothing of equal or more importance to engage in, began to groom her chestnut, silken pelt. She admitted that she hadn't been as alert as she should, but when an unfamiliar aroma reached her and footfalls were heard, the young vixen snapped to attention. If it was a scent she had never smelled before, she was certain it was of another clan, and in their territory! Jumping in one swift motion to her paws, she released an automatic, low growl, only to find this outsider, most likely a cheiftain, was only searching for her leader, not conflict. As Jaik emerged from his own den, Sorrel took a step back, reclining onto her haunches a few paces away, but the meeting still held her interest.

Kilou looked at the female, dismissing her growl as merely an instinctual reaction. Her auds flicked backwards as she picked up a bark. Gracefully, she picked herself up and turned to face the leader. She dipped her cranuim in a small bow, and barked back 'friend'. She smiled and her tail wagged a few times before becoming still. She sat back down on her hauches as she looked over the Xtikun Chieftain.
